Art Direction of Computer Generated Imagery for Camira Fabrics
Working closely with our CGI partner, Colormass (Berlin), I produce creative briefs, project manage & art direct ‘virtual photography’. CGI shoots have the advantage of endless ‘environments’ as well as complete control so no need to worry about weather, transporting equipment etc. We send fabric to be scanned at very high resolution and then digitally ‘upholster’ the furniture for photo-realistic imagery. The iconic IKEA catalogue is 75% CGI so it’s clear that this can be a very viable alternative to photography.
